My super-creative friend Alley from Good Stuff… Naturally came over today and we made succulent terrariums! It was a blast! She made the gorgeous terrarium on the top with Haworthia, Sedum and a Manzanita branch. My terrarium was a bit more basic with just a single Pachyveria haagei or “Diamond Plant.”

Last weekend I put together a beach themed arrangement for the Michigan Floral Association’s 2010 Great Lakes Floral Expo. I used a manzanita branch, reclaimed stump, succulents, aspidistra, berzelia, leucadendron, acacia and flax. A footed ceramic bowl lifts the arrangement off the table.

After I got all of the flowers out the door, I spent the rest of the day reformatting my computer. I’m so glad to be up and running again!

We got in some great flowers for Mother’s Day this year: bleeding hearts, peonies, lilacs, anemone, scabiosa, ranunculus, tulips and roses.
We also got in some show-stopping cymbidium orchids with 20+ blooms per stem! This next arrangement went to my fabulous mother-in-law, Diane.
A Mother’s Day brunch just isn’t complete without a corsage for the VIP.
