The Palace Bridal Show
Jan 22nd, 2009 by janet
The bridal show on the 18th was a huge success! I met some very cool new brides, and I am quickly filling in the rest of my open 2009 weekends! Here is the Floral Verde LLC booth:

The first vignette was inspired by the Michigan coast, and was illustrated with a complete table setting. The tall blue centerpiece contained delphinium, hydrangea, dusty miller, seeded eucalyptus, buplerum, Escimo roses, Cream Propyta roses, dried phalaris, and ranunculus. The base of the 32” pilsner vase was surrounded with a small wreath of flowers, and was accented with dupioni silk wrapped votives.

The matching bouquet contained hydrangea, mini cymbidium orchids, bupleurum, Cream Prophyta roses and ranunculus, tied with a pale teal dupioni silk stem wrap.

The next vignette was inspired by a vintage Hollywood theme. The main colors were antique gold, blush, champagne and ivory. The centerpiece was elevated with a 20 inch turned wood candle stand. It contained hydrangea, bupleurum, Sahara roses, Champagne sweetheart roses and Peach Vision spray roses.

The matching bouquet contained Sahara roses, Belle du Monde French tulips and white parrot tulips. This bouquet was tied off with an ivory silk stem wrap and detailed with a collar of lace.

There was a second bouquet for the vintage Hollywood theme that brought a lot of attention to the booth. It was quite simple and only contained Escimo roses, Viviane spray roses, white mini callas, and beige stripped coque feathers. The delicate feathers added glamour and movement. The photo just doesn’t do it justice!

At the back of the booth we had a garden themed vignette. The centerpiece contained hydrangea, bupleurum, Cream Prophyta roses, Rosita Vendela roses, Sahara roses and Champagne sweetheart roses in an antique gold footed bowl. The matching bouquet contained hydrangea, Cream Prophyta roses, Rosita Vendela roses, Sahara roses, Champagne sweetheart roses, ranunculus and dried phalaris with a two layered silk and satin stem wrap.

Here is a picture of Allison and me at 5:00 PM, right before we tore down the booth and raffled off all of the arrangements. Allison is one of my former brides who works part time for me. You might remember her from Allison & Chris at Pine Knob Mansion. Thanks for your help Alley!

I’m meeting with my first “show” bride tonight. I can’t wait to learn more about all of my new brides and weddings! Thanks to all of my current and past brides who came out and showed their support!
Janet! I’m sorry I missed it, we had out of town guests but your arrangements look BEAUTIFUL! I love the blue hydrangeas and the feathers. Stop doing such great stuff or you’re going to make me want to change my mind again :)
Hi Ladies,
Just discovered your blog and I love it! It’s nice to see other florist post. Great work and congratulations on a successful bridal show. …on a side note have you ever used the new Hypnose rose by Eufloria? If you haven’t it’s absolutely gorgeous and is a wonderful compliment to sahara. Happy designing!
Hi Jennifer!
Great blog and website!
The Hypnose rose is gorgeous. I also like the Amnesia rose bred by NIRP International. They are like a purple version of the Green Fashion rose.
These are absolutely beautiful. It never seems possible, but you always seem to top your previous work. I wouldn’t mind carrying the vintage-themed bouquet down the aisle!
I just saw the inspiration to my wedding centerpieces, but I cant afford the real flowers so im using tissue paper pomanders instead. “The centerpiece was elevated with a 20 inch turned wood candle stand.” what size foam ball did you use?
[…] been looking forward to Erin and Ryan’s wedding ever since I met Erin at the Palace Bridal Show in January 2009. The floral palette of soft blues, yellows and greens was inspired by one of the vignettes I had […]
