Blue, Green, Orange and Copper
Jun 24th, 2009 by janet
Last month I did some sketches and put together a board for a bride who wants to combine blue, green and orange for her wedding. It was a bit of a challenge, but I think I’m ready to tackle this wedding!

One of the sketches I came up with was for a cake. A simple cake with copper bands around the bottom of each layer is made extraordinary by elevating it with a floral ring and topping it with a matching copper urn.

The board describing the personal flowers looked like this. I love interesting color palettes, so I can’t wait to have the flowers in my hands for this wedding!
Hello again! I have a little more time and wanted to ask you a couple of questions. ( I am a florist in central MN and Love your work!) How do you make the inspiration boards that you show? Is that a program of some type? Do you use your own photos? I have never seen those used before and would be interested in learning more. My other question is about the beautiful bouquets you did on top of the tall pilsner vases. Did you design those in an orb? Or how did you get them so round? I usually use a clear Lomey tray on top, but I really like the shape yours have. THANKS for sharing your information, hopefully I’ll be able to help you at some point!
