A Walk on the Beach

Last weekend I put together a beach themed arrangement for the Michigan Floral Association’s 2010 Great Lakes Floral Expo. I used a manzanita branch, reclaimed stump, succulents, aspidistra, berzelia, leucadendron, acacia and flax. A footed ceramic bowl lifts the arrangement off the table.

Amanda – I hot glued floral foam to the container, then I threw a couple pieces of Oasis water proof tape across the top as an insurance policy. The manzanita and wood stump are both secured in the foam with wood picks. The arrangement rode in the car for nine hours and is still quite secure in spite of my driving!
