Christa and John’s Wedding, Saint Francis de Sales Church and the Cincinnati Marriot at RiverCenter

Christa and John were married at the beautiful Saint Francis de Sales Church over the weekend. Christa carried a textural bouquet with white peonies, blush garden roses, cream sweet peas and hellebores with cascading blush ribbons.

The maid of honor carried a bouquet of Japanese sweet pea and roses.

Christa’s mother carried a petite and fragrant bouquet with gardenia, lily of the valley and sweet peas.

The centerpieces for this wedding were really something special. Measuring sixteen inches across, they were bursting full of blush peonies, garden roses, hellebores and locally grown lily of the valley.

The reception was in the RiverView Ballroom at the Cincinnati Marriott at RiverCenter. It was fun watching the river boats go by while I was setting up.

Bouquets for Cincinnati Wedding Magazine with Leah Barry Photography

Impromptu Photo Shoot with Leah Barry Photography

It’s funny how an impromptu get-together with three creative and one beautiful assistant can turn into magic! In late January, Courtenay Lambert and I were feeling like winter was dragging on a bit too long, so we brought in some flowers to play with. Meanwhile, Leah from Leah Barry Photography had recently invited me out for coffee, so I called her back and invited her to meet us that day at Courtenay’s studio instead. Lucky for Courtenay and me, Leah came, and brought a couple of cameras with her! We were having a great time designing and laughing when Courtenay’s assistant, Allison, popped in. This is when things really took off. Courtenay and Leah saw the opportunity, and sent Allison home to pick up a few of her mother’s gorgeous vintage dresses. Then Leah quickly styled Allison’s hair, and voila, we had a photo shoot! Here are a couple of my creations, documented by Leah…
