Jennifer was a referral from a friend of my sister (thank you Katie!) Her theme was scarlet and grey, and she provided a tin full of buckeyes for me to use. After years of doing Michigan themed weddings, it was nice to finally do an Ohio State wedding!

In June I made it out to Austin, Texas to visit Brooke at Pollen Floral Art. I felt incredibly lucky to be working side by side with Brooke. She is a botanical artist, using the most unexpected flowers, foliage, succulents, branches and even non-botanical, found-items, like antlers and bee hives. She weaves these items together effortlessly with innate sense of composition and asymmetrical balance. Check out some of the gorgeous wedding flowers and organic centerpieces we arranged while I was in town.
After a busy week, Brooke graciously allowed me to cut flowers and foliage from her yard to create this bouquet. I can’t wait to head down to Austin to work with Brooke again!
Carrie and Jake had their ceremony and reception at the The Little Red Schoolhouse in Indian Hill, Ohio. Carrie and I never met - we planned all of the flowers via phone calls and emails. I think they turned out quite lovely. Here’s Carrie’s bouquet…
