This weekend two of my good friends were married, and I was honored to be included in the celebration. I met Allie and Derrick through my husband – they both worked with him. They are an incredibly romantic and sweet couple, and very much in love. Allie envisioned an elegant black and white wedding with hints of blush and pops of green. Here’s what we came up with…
The bridal bouquet contained black skeleton leaves, beige stripped coque feathers, Polar Star roses, Princess spray roses, Peach Vision spray roses, scented geranium, seeded eucalyptus, and dusty miller.
Daniel (Allie’s father) walks the gorgeous bride down the aisle to meet her groom.
I couldn’t help myself… here’s a little close up of the bridal bouquet during the ceremony. :)
Allie and Derrick are husband and wife!!!
The reception was held at the Father Bush Parish Center at the Church of the Holy Family in Grand Blanc. On Friday morning the hall was completely empty. In a matter of hours Allie, Derrick, and their friends and families pulled together to transform the space! They did an incredible job! The Mitsumata tree and the wheatgrass centerpieces were provided by Floral Verde LLC and the chair covers and napkins were done by Lorrie at Special Occasions.
The reception was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the live music preformed by Eventide. They played the kind of upbeat music that I like to dance to around the house – everything from the 60’s through today.
Here’s a look at the delicious cake – one of my favorite parts of the wedding. I would weigh 400 pounds if I had access to cake like this on a daily basis! Yum!
Congratulations Allie and Derrick! Thank you for including me in your special day!
