Mary Anne and Michael at the Detroit Golf Club

In mid-May I received a phone call from Mary Anne. We had a great phone conversation about her upcoming reception at the Detroit Golf Club, and two weeks later I met her and her two best friends, Jeannie and Vicki, for an on-site consultation.

Mary Anne and her friends had already done the hard work, organizing the details and selecting beautiful linens, all I had to do was bring the flowers! The white and green centerpieces, inspired by photos from the bride, had an abundant garden look. They contained hydrangea, roses, mini callas, scabiosa, waxflower, bupleurum, and scented geranium with an aspidistra leaf wrap tucked into the vase.

A third large arrangement graced the sixteen foot dessert buffet (I wish that I could have stayed for that!) All of the glass vases and votives were wrapped in silk to complete the look.

Mary Anne, Jeannie and Vicki really know how to throw a party, and were a blast to work with! Thank you ladies! And congratulations to the newly-wed couple, Mary Anne and Michael!

Cheryl and David in Ann Arbor, Michigan

On July 4th I had the pleasure of working with Cheryl and David. Cheryl was a dream client – sending me a beautiful inspiration board in her very first email. Her colors were marine blue, pool blue and chartreuse.

The unity candle was one of Cheryl’s favorite arrangements that day. It was a floral wreath packed with delphinium, hydrangea, roses, stock and bells of Ireland.

Here is a picture of Cheryl with her bridesmaids after the ceremony. I love how the chartreuse bouquets pop against the bridesmaid’s marine dresses!

For the reception, everyone moved to the Four Points Sheraton in Ann Arbor. I borrowed this final photo of the day from Facebook. I love how happy and excited Cheryl and David look. They were beaming with smiles for the entire day!

Congratulations Cheryl and David!
